HTI is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor for a brand-new multi-metal recycling startup in Augusta, GA. What You Need:

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or related field. Equivalend experience of 5+ years in a similar role will be considered.
• Expertise in lab safety and regulatory compliance (FDA, EPA, OSHA) hazardous material handling, and lab equipment calibration.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Statistical Process Control practices; knowledge of lean manufacturing is beneficial.
• Understanding of DOT and OSHA regulations; APICS certification is a plus

What Your Role Will Look Like:
As the Laboratory Supervisor, you will lead lab operations and ensure compliance and efficiency within the laboratory environment. In this hands-on role, you'll manage a team of lab personnel, develop and uphold lab protocols, and work closely with other departments to provide accurate and timely results. Your duties include technical support, conducting safety inspections, and maintaining clear, precise documentation in lab IT systems. You'll also train staff, promote knowledge transfer across shifts, and foster a collaborative, safety-conscious culture. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend technical expertise with leadership as you drive continuous improvement and support a high-level compliance industrial environment.

• Lead and Develop : Manage and mentor lab staff, conduct performance reviews, and foster cross-departmental collaboration. Provide training on lab procedures to ensure knowledge transfer.
• Lab Operations : Oversee lab resources, equipment, and budgets, and establish protocols for quality and accuracy.
• Safety & Compliance : Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and work with the EHS team to address any safety concerns.
• Process Optimization : Evaluate lab workflows, support lean manufacturing initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Environmental Responsibility : Collaborate with the environmental protection team to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Technical Oversight : Support lab experiments, manage lab data, and ensure compliant, accurate lab records.
