Job Description

Responsibilities

• Respond swiftly and efficiently to water-related emergencies, including water rescues, providing first aid, and administering CPR/AED when necessary.
• Collaborate with emergency response personnel, such as paramedics, police, or fire departments, to ensure seamless coordination during major incidents or accidents.
• You will meet at the office Cupertino and be driven to testing sites up to 1-hour away. The test sites will be in Santa Clara County, Monterey, and Pleasanton CA
• Transportation/Driver will be provided
• You will be at the testing site for up to 4 hours
• You will be on call and be given at least a 24-hour notice of the work schedule

Requirements

• Must possess a Lifeguard Certification from a recognized authority or organization, specifically for ocean and pool rescue.
• Must be CPR certified, including training in administering Automated External Defibrillator (AED) techniques.
• Must possess and maintain personal lifeguard gear, including a rescue buoy, first aid kit, whistle, and appropriate attire, suitable for ocean and pool lifeguarding.
• Must have exceptional swimming capabilities, including endurance, speed, and proficiency in ocean environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with the public, team members, and emergency response personnel.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of ocean and pool safety protocols, equipment usage, and rescue techniques.

Pay range: $28-35

Location: Cupertino/Bay Area
