Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of architects and engineers, ensuring effective organization, training, and development.
• Oversee multiple major projects, including landmark restorations, from planning through construction administration.
• Direct building envelope inspections and develop restoration designs for facades, roofs, plazas, and garages.
• Conduct Local Law 11/FISP reporting, including site inspections, condition documentation, and DOB report submissions.
• Perform structural design for restoration and renovation projects using analysis tools like RAM, STAAD, and RISA.
• Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Engage in business development by prospecting new clients and nurturing existing relationships.
• Estimate project scope, timelines, and resource requirements for proposals.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience, with 5+ years focused on Local Law 11/FISP projects.
• Proven expertise managing large-scale projects, including NYC Landmark buildings.
• Strong background in building envelope inspections, restoration design, and structural analysis.
• Proficiency with RAM, STAAD, RISA, AutoCAD, and Excel.
• Experience conducting building inspections from ground level to suspended scaffolding.
• Exceptional attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of NYC building codes, regulations, and restoration practices.
